A simple all-natural spray is often the solution for healing

Contents

For many decades, people have been resorting to wound care products that are toxic to the bacteria but also to the body’s own cells. Hydrogen peroxide, Hibitane soaps, and antibiotic creams damage the skin cells around the margin of the wound, delay healing and cause more visible scars.

In most situations, wound healing can be done naturally and here are some of the ways that you can heal wounds, incisions, burns, insect bites more naturally and safely.

Superficial wounds, abrasions, diaper rash, sore nipples

For minor skin wounds or scrapes, all you need to do is wash the affected area under a vigorous stream of water and dry with a sterile gauze or clean towel. Apply Herbal Skin Spray topically three to five times per day (or as needed) for three to five days.

Minor Burns

Spray with Skin Spray as soon as possible for relief of pain and faster healing.

Deep wounds, surgical incisions or more serious burns

As with a minor wound, you may need to wash the wound under running water before applying herbal Skin Spray.

This type of wound may need to be covered with a piece of gauze or dressing saturated with herbal Skin Spray and changed one to two times daily until fully healed. Do not forget to change the bandage and check the wound a couple of times daily to ensure it is healing well.

If a thick scab is already present or develops, we recommend soaking it with warm water and removing it before applying the bandage. This will help to prevent prominent scar formation.

Cut Paws

If your dog has ever cut his or her paw, you know these wounds traditionally can be challenging to heal because of the tendency to remain damp when bandaged using conventional methods and this can lead to infection or extreme bacterial or fungal growth.

Keeping gauze saturated with herbal Skin Spray directly on the cut paw will prevent infection from starting and speed healing.  Just make sure to change the bandage frequently and keep the gauze wet with Skin Spray. As with any foot bandage, make sure to cover it with a bootie or bag in wet weather and change the bandage if it gets soiled. *Never leave a bandage that is soaked in water on an open wound, as this will introduce bacteria.

Athlete’s foot, fungus, and ringworm

Skin Spray is an excellent choice for fungal infections. All you need to do is apply Skin Spray on the affected area in the morning and evening until all symptoms have disappeared then continue to use for more than two weeks to ensure that the fungus is completely gone.

Bee or Wasp Stings

If you or your pet gets stung by a bee or a wasp, treating the area immediately will reduce the pain, stinging and swelling.

Take herbal Skin Spray, a few pieces of gauze and Vetrap (sticky bandage) or another bandage material and spray Healing Solution on all of the pieces of gauze until it is soaking wet.

Secure the bandage to the affected area with Vetrap or Bandaid and spray more solution on every two to four hours to keep it moist. (If you wish, you can change the bandage every time).

Keep the bandage on for a minimum of 48 hours! Normally, this approach will keep the swelling down completely. In the past, I have tried this several times and learned that removing the bandage after 24 hours makes the stung area swell again. However, applying another compress will make the swelling go down.

The treatment usually works on its own, however, if you or your dog are very sensitive, we suggest you give a dose of Apis 200 C (homeopathic treatment) every four to six hours for the first 24 hours. This remedy is also VERY GOOD if your pooch gets stung in the mouth.

*If your dog continues to swell or has a severe reaction please see your veterinarian immediately.

Mosquito Bites

The process is a little simpler, and you do not need to use a bandage. Just spray the affected itchy skin every few hours for 24 hours, and all should be fine.

Ingredients:

Calendula (Marigold) is used topically for wound healing, acne, reducing inflammation, soothing irritated tissue and to control bleeding. It has antiviral, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Hydrastis (Goldenseal) is considered to be a great natural anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial herb and is often used to boost the medicinal effects of other herbs.

Hamamelis (Witch Hazel) has astringent properties and reduces inflammation and swelling by shrinking and contracting blood vessels back to their normal size. It is also used in treating acne, bruises, and insect bites.

Yucca is used to treat skin lesions, sprains, inflammation and to stop bleeding. It is also beneficial in the treatment of arthritis and joint pain.

SKIN SPRAY IS GREAT FOR YOUR EMERGENCY KIT.
