Dog’s Close Friendship With Mailman Moves Internet Users to Tears – Newsweek

Mailmen and dogs are typically pitted as enemies. It is the age-old movie trope of the barking canine chasing the poor letter carrier down the path, or biting at his trousers. However, a video on TikTok has debunked this myth by showing one dog’s close relationship with the local mailman. In footage, shared to the app on by an account called Otegdirb, a brown dog can be seen sitting on…

Tribute: Heaven Can Wait

They say, “All Dogs Go to Heaven” but I’m starting to have my doubts. The reason for this is our almost one-year-old puppy that we inappropriately named Gracie. She is a “Border Aussie” mix with Tasmanian Devil, Shark, Goat, and a bit of Cujo thrown in. The day we brought Gracie home, she was shy, adorably scared, and docile…it was the most peaceful twenty-four hours we had with her. Since…

Petition calls for off-leash hours for dogs in Princeton public parks – Planet Princeton

Princeton resident Calvin Chin has begun a petition calling on Princeton officials to allow dogs to be off leashes in some Princeton parks during certain hours of the day. The municipality does not allow dogs to be off-leash in public parks, and the town does not have a dog park. At least three council members promoted the creation of a dog park in town when campaigning, but a dog park…

A Perfect Compromise

I hated trudging outside for the newspaper every morning. It never failed that a neighbor would drive by and wave, or worse yet, someone would walk by on his way to the park and want to stop and chat.  I was uncomfortable interacting with people while sleepy-eyed and droopy, still in my PJs, and with ‘bed hair’ sticking out every which way.  That’s why I decided to give the job…

Dogs can develop ADHD just like humans – NEWS10 ABC

HELSINKI, Finland (StudyFinds)— Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is not something that just affects people — it may be a problem among our pets too. A new study reveals dogs can also develop a behavioral condition that resembles ADHD in humans. A team from the University of Helsinki adds that gender, age, the dog’s breed, and even how much attention their owner pays to them play a role in whether they develop this…
